Today's lesson... to draw a picture of a cat from a favourite picture.
I was interested in the symmetry of the drawing, the curve of the lines and the difficulty of balance.

My 10-year-old daughter took a drawing class with Roma and she said she enjoyed it very much. Roma taught her how to draw various pictures from using basic shapes. She also learned some Spanish during the lesson. It was a fun class!

We started from simple shapes like circle and tried drawing a tiger. Christina showed me how to find shapes in our target object and transpose them onto drawing paper, where we can add lines and work on details. Her advice to find shapes in things around me will help to see things from different perspective. I look forward to being able to develop artistic sensibility through her lesson.

Christina is an awesome teacher. She is friendly and pays attentions to my progress in each step. The 60-minute lesson went so fast and I was surprised how focused I was. The techniques she taught me was all new to me, and I was surprised that the shapes all familiar to me looked completely different when I drew with those twists. She took snapshots of what we did in our lesson and gave me a link to those photos. Also, she finished up a drawing of a snake we were working on but I was unable to complete and showed me after the lesson. I'll definitely come back and continue to learn the basic skills so that I will be able to enjoy drawing as my hobby.

Kellie worked on a script with me that I had wanted to use in the lesson and we did some warm up improv games before diving into the script as the main part of the lesson.
It was a lot of fun as always and I got some great advice on how to improve the reading / try different versions etc.
I'm looking forward to taking another lesson soon! -

I took this LET’S DRAW PEOPLE lesson for the first time. I finally finished a drawing of a man’s face under Nick’s energetic guidance. Nick taught me how to draw the outline of the face and how to put the shading on it. His advice is always helpful and thoughtful. I definitely recommend this lesson to all people who are interested in drawing people.

Since I wasn't good at watercolor painting when I was a teenager, I've been wanting to get over it. Then I decided to take up Nick's art class and learned watercolor painting from scratch. It was the first time that I was able to learn how to use water and brush effectively. It was totally an eye opener to me!

Takayo-sensei's Japanese calligraphy lesson was extremely good. She explained everything calmly and very carefully and encouraged me a lot. I don't have much experience in calligraphy, but thanks to her explanation, I am now able to write kanji. I highly recommend the lesson to anyone who is interested in Japanese calligraphy. -

She provides comprehensive instructions and feedback that can be used as a tool to improve areas that need work, also provides it in a kind and understanding way that motives you, and she teaches in a way that matches to your skill level.
Natsumi-san totally has my vote, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves! :) -

My lesson with Natsumi-san was very detailed and simple to understand. She articulated her instructions in concise manner, and provided constructive feedback, promptly after the lesson that was very beneficial and easy to comprehend.
The process was smooth. During scheduling I sent her a picture of what I would like to draw a few days prior to the lesson I scheduled, and she quickly responded shortly after.
In Natsumi-san's response she greeted me very kindly and provided details on the lesson material I will need prepared prior to the start of the lesson, which makes figuring out what I need less complicated.
Under receiving her tutelage, I was able to successfully draw the picture, due to her simple yet comprehensive instructions/feedback. I strongly recommend Natsumi-san as a tutor. I will definitely continue to take additional lessons from her in the near future. -

Thanks to Nick's advice, I am getting used to Acrylic painting. I learned how to make Gradation of a grass field and how to represent a flash of lightning paint dark sky. It was really fun.

This was my first lesson with Takayo sensei. It was so much fun! I am a beginner, but I really admire the beauty of handwriting Japanese characters. Today we practiced writing my name, and also tried 1 kanji. Takayo sensei's handwriting is, of course, beautiful, and even though my level is low, I felt that she explained precisely what I should do to improve. I will keep practicing--this is a very calming activity! Thank you so much!
