If there is a higher level of satisfaction than 5 stars, I would without a doubt vote for Ria sensei. Her lessons are always encouraging, fun, rich in content and have plenty others positive aspects that a student can ask for.
Personally, since my way of learning is by asking questions in order to fully understand what I am studying, what I appreciate the most about Ria sensei's lessons is she never fails to give answers/ profound explanations to all of my questions. It my case, they are mostly grammar points but I am sure this applies to everything related to Japanese learning.
I feel very lucky to be able to learn Japanese with Ria sensei!

Ria teacher is very nice to speak to me! This is my first consulting lesson, and i want to improve my Japanese speaking ability. Although I had tried very hard to speak in Japanese, still not an easy task to me. But Ria teacher was very kind to help me to speak out what I wanted to say and had corrected my grammar usage during the lesson. I think i will book her lessons in the near future and I believe she would be a good teacher if you keep learning with her.

Ria-sensei is always very accommodating to the student's learning needs and progress. I've always found her approachable and supportive whenever I have questions during class - I always enjoy her classes very much!

Ria 先生 is easy to talk to and adjusts to my level quickly. We had a great conversation about the differences between people in East and West Japan and between people in the northern and southern parts of the US. Ria has a gift for asking the right questions to help me develop my Japanese conversation skills. I highly recommend her! いつも ありがとうございます、りあ先生！

リア先生 places a lot of emphasis in improving my ability to use Japanese in a day-to-day context. This is an equally important skill beyond the textbook. I really enjoy every class with her ^_^

It's an interesting lesson for every level of student. If students forget or no idea how to describe the photos, the teacher will help them to try another way to complete the sentence.

Anyways, Ria, is a great teacher.
I studied and passed the JLPT N2 exam thanks to her and I am currently studying to pass N1.
Highly recommended.

I can recommend everyone to take classes with Ria! I know her since almost 2 years already and I learn a lot every single time and it never becomes boring. She uses a lot of good material and is very easy to talk to. :-) Thank you very much for everything.

I have been taking classes with Ria Sensei for over a year. She is a great teacher who has encouraged me to continue my efforts with learning Japanese despite my relatively slow progress. It is always a great time having lessons with her.

Ria-san is an amazing tutor. Content-rich and we really get so much out of a half an hour session. If only I can use all of the tags to describe her classes, I would. 11/10 stars. Definitely recommend. Thank you for another great class Ria-san. :)

Ria is an awesome tutor who always knows how to motivate learners with incredible teaching skills. She is always so considerate in preparing the materials for the individual. Moreover, she helps to deal with the weak point in learning patiently. We always have a good time in the lesson with joy, it turns the 1-hour lesson magically fast. Highly recommended. Her class provides the language learner good foundation especially in grammatical usage and pronunciation, helping students catch the language quickly and naturally.

Ria-sensei is a wonderful teacher! For this class, Ria-sensei ed a short story and sent it to me in advance of the class so I had time to review it before the lesson. During the lesson, we read the text together and she checked my understanding of particular phrases/sections, as well as answered any questions I had about unusual vocabulary or grammar. Not only does she do a great job explaining Japanese grammar and phrases, she chooses material that is interesting and fun. Her feedback is detailed and helpful and she is fun and easy to talk to--you can tell she is a professional language teacher! I have enjoyed every class I have ever taken with Ria-sensei, and I look forward to more in the future. Ria先生、いつもありがとうございます！

I have been a student since late 2020, and taken her classes regularly (3-4 classes weekly). As I have reviewed each time, Ria-sensei’s classes have always been a source of fun and encouragement during COVID and difficult personal times. She was very accommodating for an adult student who has to work 50ish hour weeks frequently. Saturday’s evening class was no different. It was very fun and I looked forward to receiving spring photos from Ria Sensei ^_^
Unfortunately I found out today that it was my last class. I had been sometimes late with meeting the review requirement (roughly twice a month) after couponed classes due to my busy work schedule. I forgot about it earlier this week again, and was reminded about it during during class. As I posted it the next morning, I found all my future bookings to be cancelled and no new bookings could be made. The reason given was that I was reminded about the review requirement various times and I still forgot about it. I’m not able to contact her.
I really enjoyed my time with Ria Sensei. She is a great teacher for anyone who is looking to learn Japanese with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I’m very sad our time together has been cut short and I wasn’t offered an opportunity to explain my situation further or work it out as a long time student. I’ve sent back the review-linked discounts, because I would have given her great reviews when asked even if she didn’t give me incentives. She is an amazing teacher. Thanks for everything Ria-Sensei!
