I was lucky enough to get a Cafetalk coupon under the category of acting/voice training, and this class by Kellie was the best choice I made. I did not have much acting experience, but she was very flexible and explained everything to me. We did some improvisation exercises and read a script. After only one class, I already feel like I am getting more comfortable with acting. Kellie was very fun, sweet, responsible, and thoughtful, definitely easy to talk to, and I really really enjoyed her class. I am hoping to continue taking her class in the future.
今回、カフェトークでフリークーポンのケリー先生のクラスを受けさせていただきました。演劇の経験がない私にも合わせてくださって、初心者向けのインプロビゼーションのエクササイズからはじめて、最後は台本の一部を読みました。英語の脚本でしたが、わからないところはとても丁寧に教えてくださいました。先生はとてもやさしくて、最初から最後までとても楽しんでクラスを受けさせていただきました。一回目のクラスだけでもたくさんのことを学び、演劇って楽しいな！と思うことが出来ました。またぜひケリー先生のクラスを受けたいです！ -

I had an amazing first class with Shelani. She balanced very well between making sure I learn and get direct experience with her teaching, versus seeing where my skills are as a starting point. She clearly has done a lot of teaching before and so was very familiar with doing the exercises we did during class. Her explanations in between were very useful. Although the class can be considered fast-paced and packed, it was so fun and interesting, and did not feel like work at all! Her live feedback and follow-up afterwards were concise and highly helpful. I would definitely recommend her lesson to anyone looking to improve their speaking (not only public speaking, but even job interviews or meetings) skills in English.

Kellie is very professional - she took the needed time to assess my level and needs, given I just had my first lesson with her. She asked me questions directly to understand what my goals are, as well as did a couple of brief exercises with me to see/listen to my speaking. So even within the first lesson, she was able to come up with some feedback points and suggestions on the aspects/exercises we will work on together going forward. Kellie is also very friendly and easy to talk to, so we were able to learn about each other and our backgrounds. Because she has experience working/speaking in both Asian and western cultures, she was able to understand right away the challenges and concerns I have when doing public speaking for different audiences. This is a very critical point, as different cultural context may require a lot of adjustments. Also, I was able to discuss with her the challenges of doing speaking online instead of in-person, which of course is very common today. It'd be great to continue lessons with Kellie.

I was really able to learn a lot of basic knowledge and techniques needed to learn perspective drawings just in one lesson. The teacher was well prepared for the lesson, and since he provided me with some learning materials before the lesson I was really able to be more prepared and confident to learn during the lesson. I think that this lesson is suited to students of all skill levels, as he tailors the lesson to suit the each student. During the lesson I was able to hear an explanation of the basics of perspective drawings as well as do some drawings myself. Therefore, I was able to understand that doing perspective drawings look easy until you actually do them, so I think that doing online lessons one on one are an important experience for people who want to really perfect their knowledge and skills.

The lessons were very enjoyable and my 5 year old daughter wants to continue with him.
His English pronunciation is very clear and easy for us to understand.
I think his lessons are understandable even at a beginner level. -

Takayo-sensei is an awesome teacher. She is very talented and is able to explain clearly in English, which is so helpful for me while learning Japanese calligraphy, as my Japanese is not good enough to understand explanations in it entirely.
Not only is the lesson enjoyable for relaxing, but I find it fascinating how even what appears to be a simple line has so much thought and details that must go into it. Additionally, Takayo-sensei gives me helpful feedback, and teaches me new words in Japanese as I learn to write. Thank you!! -

We did a painting of outer space with an alien in a spaceship, flying somewhere in between the sun and Saturn. We learned some cool techniques for blending colors to make the universe come alive. As always, my son left the lesson intrigued by what he`d picked up during his lesson with Nick -- but this time around, he spent 20 minutes after the lesson mixing watercolors by himself! ;)

I learned Abstract Art from Nick and made beautiful color gradation on watercolor paper. I soaked in the fun atmosphere of being a kid again!

We had a very fun first lesson! My 4th grader clearly enjoyed drawing this magically powerful superhero with Nick, using colored pencils. Why the lesson's great: (1) Nick's very professional, (2) you can feel that he loves teaching art (and his art is awesome!) and (3) he encourages the use of imagination over just copying what he draws. We are so glad we found him!
