Today I practiced speaking Korean by talking about New Year’s Day in South Korea and how it is celebrated. 주연 선생님 shared traditions South Koreans do like eating 떡국 and the meaning behind it. As always, 주연 선생님 was very patient with me as I paused many times in the middle of my sentences to think of the right word to use. Having said that, it is evident that my vocabulary is expanding through taking classes with 주연 선생님 so I’m happy about my progress. I love that I meet her regularly to talk about different things and learn more about South Korean culture as well! I’m already looking forward to our next class :)

I learned so many useful expressions in today’s lesson! We talked about greeting etiquette in South Korea and I shared my opinion about learning languages. 주연 선생님 was very kind and encouraging as I spoke lots and of course made a bunch of mistakes. She gently offered corrections and cheered me on the whole way. I’m super grateful for her patience and kindness. 주연 선생님 덕분에 한국어 실력이 더 높아져서 정말 기뻐요~~ 편안한 분위기를 만들어 주셔서 감사합니다 선생님. 다음 주에 또 만나요! ^^

I, of course, had another great lesson with 주연 선생님 ^^ I was curious about the drinking culture I’d see often in k-dramas (like looking away if you’re drinking in front of someone older/more superior) so I practiced speaking Korean while talking about that. 주연 선생님 also taught me more helpful things to know about as well as useful expressions that Koreans use on a daily basis. For our next class, we’re going to talk about important things to know about greeting others (like bowing). I’m looking forward to it! :)

It’s gotten easier and easier for me to form longer sentences that connect 2 or more ideas together! :D My Korean is progressing due to taking classes with 주연 선생님. It’s definitely thanks to the warm atmosphere she creates in her classes, allowing me to speak freely, make mistakes but also ultimately improve! Very thankful to 주연 선생님 for her patience and gentleness!

Today I not only practiced my Korean but also learned about things that will be useful for me to know when I eventually visit South Korea, like what to say at restaurants, what not to do when taking public transportation, etc. It’s so nice to be able to talk about the things I’m curious about while practicing my Korean at the same time! As always, 주연 선생님 created a comfortable atmosphere with her kindness and I was able to talk freely in Korean (as much as I could) as she gently corrected my mistakes. I always look forward to our lessons :)

Another great lesson with 주연 선생님! Today I practiced speaking in Korean while talking about my new puppy and his relationship with my older dog :D We also talked about the difference between 몰라요 vs 모르겠어요 and 알다 vs 이해하다. It makes me happy to see progress as my vocabulary and ability to form coherent sentences grow with every session! Looking forward to take more classes with her.

As always, classes with 주연 선생님 are wonderful! I left today’s class with a bunch of useful vocabulary that I can use to talk about my daily life and future plans. She always makes me feel comfortable so I feel confident talking and making mistakes. The more I take her classes, the better my Korean gets through all the talking I get to do :D I can’t wait for our next class!

As always, talking and practising Korean with her is so much fun! She's fun to talk to because she's enthusiastic and willing to cater to my level. She's patient and encouraging, creating a comfortable space for me to just talk a lot in Korean without worrying about making mistakes and looking stupid. I bought her 5x20-min class package but decided to take two 20-min classes in a row so I could spend more time talking to her and 40 minutes definitely flew by! I'm already looking forward to our next lesson :)

Another great lesson! Not only is she great during the lesson, but her feedback after the lesson is fantastic as well. I know I will return to read her feedback again and again because it’s so useful. Another reason I enjoy our lesson is because the things we talk about in class are things I say daily in English. It feels great to know how to say those things in Korean now. I also really appreciated that she prepared well-written materials for me to read and study from. Can’t wait for our next lesson!!!

I had a lot of fun taking her class! I have never formally studied Korean so I was nervous to take a conversation class but she was very friendly right off the bat and made me feel comfortable. She gently corrected my sentences, which made me feel safe to keep talking even though I made mistakes. After our first class, I went ahead and purchased a multi-lesson pack so I can take more classes with her. I'm looking forward to them!

It was very easy to talk to Julian. She always listens carefully to my stories and gives me feedback on how I can better express myself. I always have fun when I take the lessons. I always feel time passes fast during the lessons because I have so much fun!

Such a valuable class! I not only practiced speaking in Korean, but also learned how to address people I just met vs friends vs coworkers, when to use 씨 vs 님, when to use their name vs their title at work, etc. I always learn so much useful information when taking classes with 주연 선생님. I’m already looking forward to our next class! 사실 요즘에 생리 때문에 기분이 좀 나쁘지만 선생님이랑 이야기하고 나면 힘이 얻고 기분이 좋아졌어요. 정말 감사합니다~~ ^^
