He is a really talented amazing teacher as others have said. Very friendly to talk about any topics you present. And his passion for teaching English is so amazing and inspiring that makes you want to dig deep into English even more.

At the beginning of the lesson he focused on grammar, and then we moved to the topic about pronunciation. The last part go the lesson (pronunciation) was helpful and I learned a lot. Thanks.

When I came across Thomas the Teacher’s profile my first thought was:”that sounds a bit pretentious”.
After having taken 2 lessons with him I can say that his profile name is more than appropriate.
Thomas not only has got slkills of a real teacher, but actually it exceeds them.
He has a professional, although friendly, attitude. If you are looking for a teacher to really improve your English language, he is the one.
I tried quite a few tutor on Cafetalk, some of which are helpful, but Thomas is on another level.
What is impressive of him, it is his ability of keeping a conversation and at the same time taking notes about what you are saying and then, after the conversation time, recall precisely all your mistakes in pronunciation and grammar. And then out of the mistakes he will analyze the sentences and the mispronounced words and give you a deep and precise feed back. -

It was a second lesson with Thomas. I highly appreciate his professionalism in teaching, one can easily see how much energy he puts into his lessons. He has introduced to me a number of timely, updated vocabulary as well as expressions commonly used in news articles or casual speech, and whenever I came across unfamiliar words, he explained with spot-on pertinent examples in ways that would stick to my head for good. Also, he attentively listened to my English, and wherever I sounded unclear or odd, either semantically or phonetically, he commented on them so that I become aware of those errors from now on. Last but not least, he speaks beautiful British accent- highly recommended to anyone who sincerely wishes to improve their English.

It was one of the best lessons I have ever experienced on Cafetalk. Thomas was professional, passionate, cheerful and attentive amongst other things, making sure throughout the lesson that I was comfortable to express myself, and encouraged me to try when I was struggling. He provided me with relevant examples of certain words and explaining clearly some expressions, and after the lesson, sent me such a personalised feedback with advice for improvement. I recommend him to anyone who wish to study English.

I thought he used to teaching. Because he was very patient and perceptive. We had a free talk in the first half of the lesson, and corrected my English what I spoke in the second half. There were some patterns of my mistake, and I could know my weakness.

Tom was an amazing and passionate teacher with full of knowledge of English. He also has a wide range of teaching experiences not only with Japanese students in Japan but also with other counters in Europe. Google doc was used in the lesson which allows students to keep the content of the lesson nicely. The lesson was helpful and motivated me to work harder to improve my English skills.
