Just because you are a good person, doesn't mean you're also a good guide.
I can differentiate this line for sure.
As you know that I'm so passionate about the nature and like to talk about those things.
It doesn't necessarily make me a good guide.
Of course, it's a crucial part of being a great guide, but I need to be skilled and professional.
That's a totally different thing.

I practiced some pronounciations with Elena that I was not sure of before , especially the less r-sound and the a-sound that is very different from Japanese a-sound. I think I was able to get the tip to pronounce them. Thank you, Elena!

Every time when I have lessons with Elena, I not only learn vocabulary and natural expressions but also feel inspired to speak more in English. It was grate to talk with Elena as always!
We've been doing a specific situational conversation that I'm in at work.
It's good to practice lots of common phrases and vocabulary that could be useful while I'm working.
She prepares some worksheets beforehand and I do a preview, then do a practical practice in a lesson.
I also try to use what I learn while I'm at work.
I feel that this is the best way to acquire the language.

It was as interesting as usual to talk with Elena. I really learned words and expressions from the articles picked for every lesson and the part I like the most today is that we exchanged opinions and information about politics and the current situation in different countries. This has inspired me to get to know more about history and politics. Thank you.

The lesson I took this time was about the complaints the customers make and how to deal with them.
Since I'm working at a cafe and dealing with lots of customers, she set up the hypothetical situation I might be in and let me practice some of phrases that can be useful.
What I like about her lesson is that I learn the general vocabulary, grammar and so on, I also get to know how native speakers would say in a real conversation at the same time.
That's actually the biggest reason for me to choose a tutor who's a native speaker just because they know the language more even culture behind it.

It was fun as usual. I read the worksheet of a news in advance, and I asked some questions about the usage of the idioms or vocabulary and we talked about the topic or the difference of UK and Japan. Ms.Elena is easy to talk to and I always feel like I talk with my friend at the lesson. She explains words or phrase, including the cultural background fully. And her feedback is always great and she encourages me more to practice English. Thank you, Elena. -

I have been taking conversation lessons and vocabulary lessons with Elena for a while and it is my first time to have this writing lesson. In the lesson, Elena helped fix my grammar and verb tenses, gave me advice on word choices, and more importantly, she respected my own thoughts and my writing style, which really helped me gain more confidence in my writing. 今回でエレナ先生のクラスは３回目でしたが、毎回いつも前向きなフィードバックをくれ、また勉強をがんばろうという気になります。説明もわかりやすく、授業後に改めてメールでも新しい言葉の説明など補足してくれるので、参考になります。今回は新聞の記事のワークシートをもらい、それについて、新しい言葉の使い方を確認したり、意見交換したりしました。とても勉強になりました。要約が難しかったですが、自分の課題も見えたし、またがんばろうという気持ちになりました。
It was my third time to take Ms. Elena's lesson. She always give me positive feedback and it encourage me to study more. I like the way she explains. She sends me some supplementary explanation about new words or phrases after the class and those help me a lot. This time, she gave me an article from the newspaper. During the class, I checked the usage of new words and phrases with her, and discussed about the topic. It was a very useful lesson. I found summarization of the article difficult, but this lesson gave me motivation to practice more. Thank you, Elena.

I've been with Elena for more than 8 months. She is an amazing teacher and does well with moving with the conversation and making transitions from one topic to another. Our conversations are diverse and just develop naturally.
The worksheets she send me are also very useful. I learn a lot of new things(vocabulary, idioms, expressions, topic and so on).
Elena is friendly, knowledgable and thoughtful. When I feel lazy about speaking English, she inspires and encourages me.
She is really a professional !
I recommend Elena to learners of all levels.
