Religiously following the textbook is fine with me. It's a diligence, anyway. However, what's good about Professor Nico is that he leads me to express my thoughts and encourages me to speak. "Bon courage" is a phrase I hear frequently throughout my lesson. It works!

Professor Nico is the best teacher I have ever leant with.He always makes effort to enderstand us and consider the best way to improve our level ,and enjoy leaning.I study with him for 10months ,and I could pass Delf b1 without problemes.And I really feel satisfied with his lessons.I can hardly understand the person who can say bad thing for him.The language is to communicate with foreign people in good way.If you don't make effort understand Nico,I think it will better to study alone or it will better not to study French.
I recommand Nico to not only biginners but also the students who want to exchange your opinion about the gloval problems in the world. -

If you are looking for a tutor who customizes a lesson to your learning needs, I don't recommend Professeur Nico. After expressing my learning needs and concerns over Cafetalk messages and in person on Skype, he was adamant about sticking with the same textbook which I didn't like. Furthermore, I've had to follow up with Professeur Nico over Cafetalk message requests a few times which I don't consider professional. As a self-motivated language learner, I don't want a teacher who merely repeats what the textbook says (which I can do on my own) but goes above and beyond what is in the textbook. That being said, Professeur Nico did correct my pronunciation which is crucial for a beginning French learner.

Nico corrects your pronunciation from the first lesson which is very important when learning French. I found the provided material too easy and he immediately proceeded to teach more advanced material. Highly recommended.

I am happy to have had corrections throughout the lesson and am impressed by his level Nico's professionalism, ease in explaining and kind nature. I want to take the French exam, and since it's my first time, Prof. Nico helped me a lot with his great advice. In the end, I was able to understand some of the words that was written on the test. He helped me how to study, so I can continue working with the French language. Thank you so much!!

This was a great lesson! I was nervous because I was worried my French would not be good enough, but he spoke slowly to me and was able to explain in English when I needed it. Very professional, and useful speaking practice! I will definitely take another class with Nico!
