I spoke with teacher Phillip during the trial session. He was very gentle and I felt it was easy to talk to him about my English studies.
It was an eye-opener for me to learn that I need to consider the differences between English-speaking culture and Japanese culture, and I feel that this is the most important point in continuing my English studies. -

If I could take classes with him regularly, it would be more beneficial for my learning. I usually get home around 8 p.m., so scheduling classes can be challenging.

I had this lesson last minute. Glad that the teacher confirmed my request. It was great as always. The teacher always tries her best to encourage me to speak more and adjust the learning materials for me. I can see how much effort she put in terms of lesson planning. I am looking forward to the next lesson. :)

Another great discussion about Japanese culture with Mana-sensei. She's really good for discussing different aspects of Japanese culture in depth. I highly recommend her free-talking lessons for those wanting to practice Japanese conversation and gain insights into Japanese culture.

I finally found a great teacher! I was looking for a native English-speaking teacher who not only enjoys speaking but also corrects mistakes in grammar and expressions. Many teachers didn't correct my mistakes even if I asked them to in advance, but Brenda did. She explained my mistakes in detail, and I learned a lot of new expressions. I highly recommend her!

Thank you for your lesson the other day. As a tutor myself, I understand why you need to use an alarm clock. Not everyone is aware of the time. However, every time your alarm went off, and you told me that time was up even though I wanted to finish the sentence, it didn't give me a positive experience. Unless you have another lesson coming up, 1 minute over time is not a big deal. Also, it would be better if you asked me questions or said something to let me know if you understood what I was saying. I kept talking and you kept staring at me. When I stopped talking, you didn't say anything, so I wondered if my Japanese was so bad that you didn't understand a word I was saying.

Today's lesson with Ryu-sensei was the first I have had in some time, and it was wonderful to be back learning from him again!
Ryu-sensei had not changed at all. He was friendly, accommodating, enthusiastic, and exceptionally helpful in providing me with the Japanese I was in need of to complete my sentences.
Some of what I learnt today includes: 誘因 (catalyst), 博士課程 (doctoral course), 悟りを得る (gain enlightenment), and 取り組む (work on).
Thanks so much for a great lesson, Ryu-sensei! Next week's can't come soon enough!

She makes me feel relaxed when I speak English, which helps me a lot to improve my speaking skills, even though I often make grammatical mistakes, she always tries to understand me, react to me and correct my sentences. I like the way she teaches English with natural conversations.

In this class, we discussed the topic of "icebergs."
I have always been interested in the Arctic and wanted to go there, and teacher Rew has given me more in-depth informations, which have made me even more interested.
I am very happy that he always makes the topics he covers so interesting.
