Tomoko-sensei was very polite and friendly. Taking her lesson was truly an enjoyable experience. I could feel her dedication and professionalism. She reviewed my written page and corrected my grammatical mistakes. She taught me patiently how would a native speaker of Japanese read my page with proper pronunciation and intonation. To speak naturally like a Japanese is a very difficult part for me because I often do not know the proper accent and intonation. I feel that her style of teaching with dedication and patience is very valuable. I will continue to sign up her class because it was fun and significant to learn with her.

This was my very first pronunciation lesson. Tomoko-sensei reviewed and re-wrote my one-page self-introduction into a short and a long version for different occassions. She guided me through each version with proper intonation repeatedly. I have never imaged to speak like a native speaker since accent reduction is a tough challenge. After taking her lesson, I feel confident that my Japanese can be improved to a level quasi to a native speaker. I really appreciate Tomoko-sensei's professionalism, patience and experience in coaching me through this lesson. I'd highly recommend her lessons for those who are serious about speaking Japanese with an euphonic accent.

先生 is friendly and professional. I took her pronunciation lesson. She contacted me when she confirmed my booking. I sent her the article that I would like to want to practice. 先生 prepared the article I sent her with intonation in カタカナ and shared it on the screen during the lesson. 先生 was professional and being patient to correct my intonation. It was not easy for me to pronounce some Japanese characters. She was being patient and back and forth to make sure I pronounced them correctly. She used Japanese only in whole class. As I was taking a pronunciation lesson, the lesson went easily and smoothly.

I had a fantastic lesson with Tomoko-sensei! I sent her a page of text in Japanese that I wanted to practice. She helped make it more sound natural and drew all the wavelength marks for proper intonation. She sent me these files after the class so I could review on my own. She also listened to my request to be corrected grammar-wise in speaking and made gentle corrections. The class was packed with useful material that made the most of the most of the time. I will use her files to help review and prepare for the next class. Thanks to Tomoko-sensei, I felt like I really made steps towards improving my pronunciation during this class. Looking forward to more great classes with Tomoko-sensei!

This is my third time attending Tomoko-sensei's self-introduction class and feel completely satasfied just like my previous two lessons. I wrote a short four paragraphs essay introducing one of my hobbies, reading. Tomoko-sensei reviewed and corrected my grammtical mistakes. In addition, she enriched my learning by teaching me additional vocabularies and phrases relevant to my essay. She coached me to read my essay naturally with proper intonation and pronounciation like a native speaker. She asked me several very thoughtful questions to faciltate our discussion about my essay, my hobbies and my life. Tomoko-sensei is a truly teaching professional who goes beyond her duties to help me study Japanese more interestingly and effectively. I am really grateful for her intention and dedication and would recommend her lessons for anyone who'd like to write, to read and to speak like a native speaker.
