Thanks for another great lesson and apologies for not being prepared (again). Seems like I'm struggling with remembering vocabulary and grammar that we went through many times. Despite this, we had another fun conversation and Maki-sensei was very patient with letting me work out simple sentences and helped nudge me in the right direction whenever I struggled. Thank you and looking forward to our next lesson!

Thanks for another great lesson. I feel bad that I keep forgetting the basics, especially after a long holiday without any Japanese lessons or practices. Thank you for still being able to understand my less-than-solid Japanese. We had fun catching up and as always, it felt like 50 minutes flew by. Learned some new phrases to describe everyday topics and things. Thanks again and looking forward to our next lesson!

Thank you for another great lesson. It's been a while since our last lesson and I used a lot more English than usual - thanks for being patient with me. Another fun chat and thank you for introducing some new vocabulary (as well as reminding me of some old ones that I keep forgetting hahahaha). Thanks for another great lesson. Today was one of those days where I felt like I could not communicate in Japanese at all and seemed to be progressing backwards, but Maki-sensei didn't give up. She also did some gentle corrections without breaking the conversation and when I struggled, she let me try to get the sentence out on my own first, which was nice since I could work out the mistakes myself first before getting a correction. Thanks again and looking forward to our next lesson!

Thank you Maki-sensei for another fun lesson. Had a great time talking about our pets and everyday situations we may face when going shopping or walks around the neighbourhood. Thanks for understanding my butchered Japanese. Can't wait for next time!

Thanks another fun lesson. Although, I was having issues saying clearly what I meant in Japanese, Maki-sensei was able to understand and would show me how to say it properly. All the while without breaking from our conversation so that everything felt natural and fun.

Thanks for another great lesson. Maki-sensei really is able to tailor the lessons to individual levels while keeping our goals in mind. I really appreciate the gentle nudges to progress, but also being able to slow down a bit and focus on basic to basics, when needed.

I have been taking lessons with Makisan for a few years. She is the best tutor here. She listens to me patiently, and corrects my Japanese using Skype chatbox.
Several times, she didn't mind going overtime. She also writes lesson feedback shortly after the lesson. -

Sorry for always forgetting basic vocabulary! Today was one of those days.... which I seem to have often. But we still had a lot of great laughs and thank you for the list of new words that I can use to describe everyday things. Thank you for a great lesson and looking forward to next week!

Thanks for a fun lesson. Although I stumbled through with my vocabulary (or lack thereof) Maki-sensei was able to understand what I was trying to say and we were able to keep the conversation going. Thanks for the gentle corrections and introducing new words. :)

Thanks for a good lesson. It was a bit of a counseling lesson in the beginning and Maki-sensei listened well and really helped me talk through some things. It felt good to be able to share with Maki-sensei some personal matters. I made a lot of mistakes (in Japanese) and Maki-sensei did some tactful corrections, but allowed me to focus on speaking about the topic. Thank you very much for a great lesson!

Sorry about this lesson where I seem to have forgotten most of my Japanese language skills! Maki-sensei was able to understand my severely butchered Japanese, and despite everything, we were able to have a great conversation. Learned a few very use new vocabulary and adjectives! :) looking forward to our next lesson (last lesson for 2020)!

Thanks for another great lesson. Today was full of new vocabulary. Although I struggled to describe things, Maki-sensei was able to figure out what I wanted to say and then introduce the new vocabulary smoothly into the conversation. Great fun again and thank you again for today!
