One of the excellent things about these lessons is how Makisan is able to alter them as needed. I told her about a specific problem I was having, and she came up with a new approach to fix it. Excellent! The lessons are entertaining and fun but also rich in information. It is rare to be able to learn so much while enjoying the effort.

Maki Sensei is always great. This lesson we focused on a specific grammar and went over many examples of how it can be used. I'm hoping to slowly build up the ability to recall these grammars and construct sentences easier as I speak Japanese. :o)

Serious grammar study is hard, but she helps make it fun. Not only am I learning Japanese, I am learning about Japanese culture and having a great time doing it.

Great conversation with Makisan Sensei. She's super nice and she isn't one of those really high speed Japanese speakers, which is great for me. Looking forward for more lessons with her. Thank you ;o)

The more lessons I take, the more I appreciate what an excellent teacher she is and what a genuinely nice person she is. She does an excellent job of adapting the lessons to my needs and situation, and she makes them fun and pleasant while still helping me to study hard. Not many teachers could do that, especially with a difficult subject like this. Excellent!

My lesson was excellent, as it always is. She has a casual style that is not at all intimidating, but she has taught me so much and continues to teach me so much. The lessons are fun but full of solid information, and she has a knack for explaining complicated things in a wonderfully simple way.

Another excellent lesson. One of the many great things is that she is flexible as regards the lesson content. This week, I had been doing some reading and was puzzled about some things. At my request, instead of going over my normal homework, I asked questions about what I had been reading. She made some complicated grammar very clear, and now I understand so much more than I did! When I look back at where I was a year ago and where I am now, I am amazed. I couldn't have done it without these wonderful lessons.

She is quite simply excellent. The lessons are fun but solid. Learning a new language can feel overwhelming because of the volume of information, but, through these lessons, I am making steady progress and having a great time doing it. I can't think of any way to improve the lessons because they are already so great.

Excellent counseling lesson! Makisan made me feel very comfortable and encouraged me to try to speak as much as possible while giving me corrections afterwards. She also made some very good observations on where my weak points were and suggested some lesson plans to help improve/fix them.
