Although it was just a level check, Makisan was really helpful and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Definitely going to book my future lessons with her :)

She is an excellent around teacher no matter what your level is. She is able to adapt her lessons to meet your needs. The lessons are entertaining but still solid.

Today's lesson with Maki sensei was spent going over better ways to study and approach what I need to work on to continue to improve. Maki Sensei corrected my sentence patterns and provided me with alternative ways to build my sentences. Thank you so much for your advice and encouragement. :)

Thank you for another great lesson. Maki sensei is fun to talk to, but she can really push through the materials and is able to give good feedback as you go along. I like how Maki sensei is able to sense my comfort zone and really push me to step outside of it.

Maki sensei really helps build confidence and also helps build your vocabulary. She does it in a very natural way so you don't feel like it's a drill, but you actually retain it. Her lessons are always fun and there's never any gaps in the conversation. Thank you for another wonderful lesson!

Another excellent but fun lesson. Sometimes you need a structured lesson, sometimes you need review, and sometimes you need conversation. She is good at adapting the lesson to the student's needs.

Today we focused more on improving my speaking in Japanese skills, which are still pretty basic. Fortunately for me, Maki-sensei is a patient teacher. I would need these lessons every day! :-)

I always like lessons with Maki-sensei. They are fun and I learnt a lot. Today, she gave me good examples of how the real spoken Japanese differs from the language we learn from the textbook. That's useful!

Another excellent lesson. She is always able to adjust the lesson to meet my needs, and that is something that I really appreciate. It isn't "one size fits all".

Maki sensei is always able to make the lesson both interesting and educational. Every lesson, I find I am able to retain the information that Maki sensei gives and use in my daily conversations. Her corrections are gentle, but firm. Thank you for another great lesson.

Maki sensei's lessons are very fun and interesting. She is able to make the conversation flow naturally while making me practice speaking in full sentences. Not only does Maki sensei give on the spot corrections, but also great examples and then pushes you to try to recreate the sentence properly. I always enjoy her lessons! Thank you!

One of the things that makes these lessons fun is the creative ways that she comes up with to explain things. I am reading new stories, so the topics range all over the place and the grammar is sometimes unexpected, but she always finds a way to make it clear! She is an excellent teacher.

I am still having so much fun and learning so much through these lessons. I recently tried (again) to read something that I tried (and failed) to read several months ago, and now I can read it!
