This was my 1st time ever trying to take a lesson through Cafetalk.. but my tutor never messaged me, nor called me when it was time for our lesson. Support tried to assist, but we still couldn't get a hold of her. I hope she is okay.

I definitely recommend Tutor Kimi for free speaking practice.
Tutor Kimi was was very friendly, courteous and nice. She would allow me to go on and on and would occasionally chime in to help me understand what mistakes I made and what words I should use instead. This really helped me understand the best words to use for each situation. However, she also didn't try try to correct me as soon as I made a mistake and rather waited until the end of each sentence or when I asked a question. This made her very easy to talk to and we had a very informative and engaging conversation about the different prefectures and different areas in Japan. She also knows a lot about American culture as well as the differences between American TV and Japanese TV. She is also an expert on Business Japanese as well which was a huge plus because it emphasizes proper Keigo form. Thank you tutor Kimi! I had a lot of fun. -

Kimi was very fun to talk with and I had lots of opportunity to speak Japanese about a variety of different topics. She corrected some mistakes I made and I learned a few new words as well. Very good lesson for practicing free talk and I would take it again!

She was nice. It was a relaxed environment which was nice. We started talking about how I study. She spoke very little English and understood me when I responded in English. We looked at a page from my workbook and did it together. She explained some usage rules. Then I asked to do a practice test together. When I got to a question I didn't understand, she helped me to understand it. She did speak quite quickly which can be good for listening practice. After class, she sent a long message listing major points from class.
