I truly enjoyed rebuilding my confidence with practicing Japanese. I had a lot of setbacks in my progress and I quit trying to learn multiple times. This time I am trying a different approach so that I may be able to reach my dream of communicating in Japanese. I had an enjoyable introduction lesson and I look forward to the next lesson.

Oyu sensei was a truly amazing teacher, when I first started taking lessons I was nervous at first to speak, but with Oyu, she made the learning experience enjoyable and easy. She speaks English well, so she could accommodate to my level. She was extremely professional and seemed enthusiastic about teaching. I'm honestly surprised at how little recognition she gets, she's truly an amazing tutor who deserves way more students and for anyone who's thinking about taking her lessons, I highly recommend you do so!

Oyu せんせい is friendly and easy to connect with, making her lessons pleasant and engaging. She can explain very well in English, which is great for beginners like me. I really appreciate that she works hard to make students feel at home and give them all the helpful information they need, as well as suggesting other resources and study tips!

I've taken a few lessons with Oyu now and I thought I would leave a little note for her prospective students.
I enjoy talking with her, she is very open to talk about anything that happens to cross my mind and her having experience living in North America is quite nice because she is able to share some perspective as a native Japanese person, but can also understand my mind set when I talk about things in Japan that confuse or cause me stress. Of course she avoids using English during our talks which is appreciated, but she will use her English knowledge when necessary if you ask her what a word is in Japanese if you show it to her in English. She also does her best to explain words in Japanese if you ask about them - for example I asked what 手を加える meant more specifically since I only got "edit" from my dictionary.
At the time of writing too, her pack lessons are very affordable which is great when I don't have a huge income I can use online steadily like I can at home.
All in all, I would say give her a chance if you have stumbled upon her profile and have read my review. -

Oyu teacher is a great teacher. I am a Japanese beginner, teacher is always patient and wait for me to talk. I can really practice my Japanese speaking with fun and joy. Besides, teacher can speak fluently English. Strongly recommend.

The teacher speaks fluent English and is very talkative which is indeed the need of a language learner.
