It was a wonderful experience. I didn't have a subject in mind, but Wanshan-sensei did, and it was great to be able to know more about Japanese onomatopoeia, because they're very useful in Japanese conversation.

I know that onomatopoeia is an unique part of Japanese language. However, it is quite difficult for the foreigners to learn and remember. I feel Wanshan-sensei did a very good job in explaining Japanese onomatopeia. He illustrated with pictures and examples. Even though I still think it is quite a challenge for me to become really good in this particular area, I did have a very interesting learning experience. Perhaps, it will motivate me to learn more about onomatopoeia.

Kunio Sensei's classes are very fun! He reminds me of the responsible and hardworking teachers that I had in middle school. He's very knowledgeable about Japanese language and culture as well. I think he also speaks a little Chinese and Korean apart from Japanese and English. We mostly focus on vocabulary and sentence structure, and I think the content is useful for day-to-day life and a good supplement of my grammar-rich group classes. Every class I learn something new and it's always fun. I also use the notes he sends after class to review by myself.
