Interesting lesson, we started with pronunciation by reading some short phrases. It was great she could explain in English, I hope I can take more lessons. I think the 20 minutes were not enough, I wanted more time.

Pon was patient with my word finding difficulties and tried to understand my content so she could provide me with the vocabulary that i needed. Her typing out of the words benefitted me too as it helped me learn through 2 different modes - auditory and visual. The feedback she gave on how i can help myself improve is also very useful as i was feeling stuck with my Chinese for sometime. It was a great session! :)

Glad to talk to you again , Ms Pon! Taking your lessons is not only beneficial for Mandarin practising and learning, but also can broaden my horizon and learn more about Japanese culture and social affairs. Our chat was also related to sociology and psychology. It was really interesting. I will try to work harder on improving my pinyin , vocabulary ,expressions and the like. This is my second lesson of four. I'm getting up to speed with more useful verbs and nouns, and becoming more comfortable with the tones. Pon-san is always patient and helpful in my pronunciation and understanding.

Pon was a very gentle, and patient tutor. She provided materials that were at my level and we went over them methodically. I appreciated how she reinforced and tested me on the material. She also left me a lot of follow up. The only problem for me was that since Pon is not fluent in English and my Chinese is at a beginner level, it was a little difficult for us to communicate.
