I didn't have much of a plan for the lesson, but I decided maybe we could read a Japanese blog together. Maki-San found a blog we could read and we had fun reading it together. She is really good at explaining words in a way that helps me to really understand them. Everything is in Japanese and we don't speak English, but I still understand the nuance of the words. Thanks!

Using translative and intransitive verbs is now making a lot more sense thanks to Maki-sensei's teaching methods. Highly recommended!

This lesson was incredibly helpful for preparing for the JLPT. I did some practice tests before the lesson, she gave me corrections and feedback for me to review before the lesson, and together we discussed anything I didn't understand. Maki used the lesson time to give me a ton of great information and it was such a productive use of time. If you are preparing for the JLPT, I highly recommend this lesson.

My tutor was very knowledgeable and was able to explain things through pictures. Suitable for all levels including the very beginning level (I only knew a few introductions before the lesson).

まきさんはいろんな役に立つ説明ができました。資料はすぐできました。私は使うべき本を進めました。レッスンのあと、フィッドバックをくれました。Maki-San's lesson included helpful explanations of grammar or vocabulary that I had questions about. She quickly produced material that was suitable for our lesson. She knows the various books available for JLPT studies, and was able to make recommendations for me to adequately prepare for the test. After the lesson, she provided some feedback in the form of main points and key phrases/grammar patterns that came up in the lesson. ありがとうございました！

Maki-san is such a great teacher! It's my fourth lesson but it already feels longer. She's very skilled and fun to talk to. I can feel that she really likes teaching. I recommend her, you will be in good hands!

Makisan is great. I was able to hear everything she said clearly. I was also able to use English to explain things I wanted to learn and concepts that I wanted to understand in Japanese. I am looking forward to the next lesson!

Another fun lesson! Maki is very easy to talk to, and provides excellent notes. The notes are extremely useful to me, because I create flashcards in Anki for them afterwards. For the next lesson, I will be creating sentences to practice grammar, particles, and transitive/intransitive verbs. Maki is very skilled at making sense of grammar, and making it fun to learn it. I will definitely be booking another session soon!

This was my third lesson with Maki-sensei. She's fun, courteous and thorough. One thing I haven't said before is that she's quick with sending her elaborate feedback after the lesson. Also, she gives me advice on what to study next. Maki-sensei is a great support in improving your Japanese. I really recommend this teacher!

This was my second lesson with Maki-sensei. I was already delighted about our first lesson so I'd decided to continue my lessons with her. This time was as good as last time. She's really thorough and at the same time fun and gentle. It's an amazing ability!

I've been taking classes with Maki-sensei for a while now since I'm preparing for the JLPT test this July. I'm still very content with Maki-sensei. She's really supportive and can explain things well. She's very kind and I feel comfortable during the lessons. Recommended for beginners as well as intermediate and above.
