Today we covered a variety of Japanese expressions, including ones for praising, for conversing with shop staff, and for helping university students.
As always, Ryu-sensei was exceptionally diligent in each situation to find the most appropriate way to express what I was looking to convey.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student of the language, Ryu-sensei will most definitely be able to help you take your Japanese to the next level!

A large portion of today's lesson was devoted to correcting advice I gave in Japanese to a student sitting exams this weekend.
Ryu-sensei explained how to make my advice sound more natural, as well as the subtle difference between 「したほうがいい」」 and 「するといい」.
I also asked Ryu-sensei to teach me the "everyday" Japanese to use when going to pick up takeaway food and when entering a restaurant to meet someone who is already seated.
Ryu-sensei was thorough in his explanations, and kind and supportive throughout.
10 out of 10 to Ryu-sensei for another great lesson!

In my lesson with Ryu-sensei yesterday we covered the kinds of expressions that can be used with tradesmen.
Ryu-sensei's advice was both exceedingly detailed and exceedingly helpful, and I am looking forward to applying what I learnt next time I need to get some work done around my home!

During today's lesson I asked Ryu-sensei to check the Japanese content on a website I am in the process of making.
Ryu-sensei's feedback and suggestions for improving the text of the site were, as always, most helpful!
And his explanation of the nuance behind my use of a 私が at a certain point on my page was both very instructive and very easy to follow.

In today's lesson I asked Ryu-sensei to walk me through what I should say when I go the post office to pay bills. It was a very instructive lesson, and I look forward to trying out what I learnt today when I next go!
Ryu-sensei was, as always, extremely courteous, patient, and thorough with his explanations.
If you need help with what to say at the post office, bank, or ward office, Ryu-sensei is the teacher to ask!
