My first lesson with Ms. Ash was very helpful. She was very patient in explaining how I could express something appropriately in my writing. I appreciate her willingness in communicating and understanding what I wanted to express, as well as making the effort to guide me on how to write in natural way while retaining my own words as much as possible.

Today, we talked about medical tourism, using a shared article on BBC. In addition to the content, she told me about a grammatical problem in the article. She always corrected my pronunciation such as "salary", "receiving" and "law." Thank you so much :)

Today, we continued to talk about the conflict in Ukraine. I shared what happened and will happen in Japan because of the war. Her prospects about the war are totally interesting and broadened my way of thinking.

Today, we talked about the conflict in Ukraine. We talked about why it happens, and what will occur. As you know, the topic is very sensitive but important to discuss. I studied a bit about its background, so today's talk was so great for me because I could share my thought and hear others' opinions.

Today, she reviewed the comments which I wrote after her lessons. It was great for me because writing reviews is one of the ways in which I can practise the language. Any feedback is valuable!
Then, we moved on to the topic we discussed last week, "dreaming." I often toss and turn, and stretch my limbs while sleeping. Sometimes I even punch the air and kick in some direction. I was wondering whether she also has such a habit and the cause of my action. Her lesson was very fruitful! Thank you so much :) -

Today, I discussed dreaming with her because I had a peculiar dream last week. Then we continued to talk about why we have dreams. Her idea that dreaming can be an evolving process by creating a new situation in which we have to get used to was quite interesting. When I was mumbling, she had patiently waited for me to come up with my answers. Thanks a lot :)

Today we talked about the James Webb telescope, which is the new type of space telescope launched at the end of 2021. I couldn't say exactly what I thought today. I will review today's lesson and elaborate my skills.

初めてMs.Ashのライティングレッスン受講しました。事前に提出したジャーナルを非常に丁寧に見ていただきました。通常のproofread だと文法間違いやスペルミスのチェックだけだと思うのですが、Ms.Ashはよりよい表現やその他オプションも豊富に教えてくれます。加えて内容そのものにも深い洞察力で、本当は何が言いたいのか？を聞いてくれて、そしてそれに沿った表現を、教えてくれます。オススメの先生です。

Today we talked about the volcanic eruption in Tonga. I chose this topic as we had tsunami waves throughout our country. During the conversation, she told me some phrasal verbs and new vocabulary. Thank you so much and have a nice weekend :)

we talked about the topic of "Metaverse" today. I'm not familiar with the topic but it seems intriguing to me since one of my friends is selling her products in the virtual world. I was impressed by her comments and opinions about the topic!
However, I mumbled too much and could not compose what I wanted to say today. That was a kind of regret. -

Today, we began my lesson by talking about her life during the end-of-the-year season. We continued to talk about the sense of humor, which was the topic last time I have chosen. In the beginning, I found myself improving in speaking, but gradually I started getting confused about what I tried to say. She carefully listened to what I intended to say. Today we talked about 'humor.' because I think I'm not good at making people laugh especially when I meet them for the first time. It was an interesting topic but I couldn't express my thought enough, so I want to talk more about it in the next lesson.

She has a profound skill of teaching. I've never met any tutor who carefully listens to what I said and passionately corrects them than she does. She always extends my lessons until the next student comes, which makes her busy a lot. Thanks to her lessons, not only my TOEFL score but has my speaking skills on various topics improved. I really appreciate her!

She listened to what I had said carefully and promptly corrected them. She also wrote them down on the chatbox so that I can recheck them after lessons, and explained why the corrections are needed. Her lessons are really helpful :)

She told me the importance of tense consistency today. I learned it in school but I found it difficult to use it naturally while I was speaking since there was no time to think of it. The best but not easy way to acquire it is to keep practicing!

Today, we talked about whether we allow children to have their phones or not. I chose the topic because I saw a lot of pupils operating phones everywhere, even if they stay with their friends or family. During our conversation, it is a matter of parents' attitude towards their children, not of technology. We broadened our talk to the matter of privacy. In the next lesson, I'm looking forward to talking about it!

In today's lesson, we talked about the event where Will Smith slapped a comedian at the Academy Awards when his wife was made fun of by her appearance. According to the comments on news articles in Japan, most Japanese people questioned why the comedian is not blamed. We talked about it and she told me the reason.
