Selecting a teacher in the first place is difficult, and there is some luck involved. Right from the first lesson, though, I felt like I had made the right choice. I have been taking lessons from Makisan for a year now, and she is wonderful. The lessons are both fun and thorough, and, looking back, I am amazed at how much I have learned. She is absolutely excellent.

Maki sensei's lesson is very recommended if you are looking for lessons that won't give you too much pressure. To me, learning without pressure is the only and the most important way to keep my interest in it and to learn continuously. If you have the same thought as me, you wont get disappointed for choosing her lesson. Maki sensei's lesson is the only one on cafetalk that I have been choosing for several months.

最初、日本語はまたレベルが低いので、ちょっと心配したけど、MAKIさんはすごく親切で説明してくれて本当にありがとうございました。まだMAKIさんのレッスンをとり続きたいです。
MAKI老師講解很有耐心，就算是第一次上全日文的課也可以慢慢進入狀況喔。 -

What can I say? The lesson was excellent, as always. Makisan is a great teacher. When you make a mistake she corrects you gently. She is fun to talk to, and, looking back, I am amazed how much I have learned thanks to these lessons.

To really capture how good the lesson is, I need to be able to select most (or maybe all) of the "describe the tutor" choices! She really is fun, casual but good for solid study, recommended for everyone, gentle, enthusiastic, does cater to your level, can explain in English or Japanese, and the lessons are content rich with good follow-up after the lesson. Thanks to these wonderful lessons, I am now beginning to watch movies in Japanese and understand a significant portion of what I hear. How cool is that? The best yardstick is the simple fact that I have learned so much and really enjoyed doing it.
