Really happy with my first proper lesson! I liked how Makisan avoided using English as much as possible and how she reinforced the lesson topic with additional questions that weren't in the textbook. Can't wait for the next lesson!

Lessons with Maki-sensei are always fun and instructive. She uses simple Japanese that is easy to understand.

I am still having so much fun and learning so much through these lessons. I recently tried (again) to read something that I tried (and failed) to read several months ago, and now I can read it!

Although it was just a level check, Makisan was really helpful and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Definitely going to book my future lessons with her :)

She is an excellent around teacher no matter what your level is. She is able to adapt her lessons to meet your needs. The lessons are entertaining but still solid.

Today's lesson with Maki sensei was spent going over better ways to study and approach what I need to work on to continue to improve. Maki Sensei corrected my sentence patterns and provided me with alternative ways to build my sentences. Thank you so much for your advice and encouragement. :)

Thank you for another great lesson. Maki sensei is fun to talk to, but she can really push through the materials and is able to give good feedback as you go along. I like how Maki sensei is able to sense my comfort zone and really push me to step outside of it.

Maki sensei really helps build confidence and also helps build your vocabulary. She does it in a very natural way so you don't feel like it's a drill, but you actually retain it. Her lessons are always fun and there's never any gaps in the conversation. Thank you for another wonderful lesson!
