Ryu-sensei very generously assisted me in discussing in Japanese my recent experiences with a certain car manufacturer.
We covered some quite difficult vocabulary items, including 潜在的, 顕在化, and 脅かす.
I highly recommend Ryu-sensei's lessons for anyone interested in taking one of the Japanese proficiency exams at some point.

In today's lesson we looked at a draft of an email I wish to send to a car manufacturer.
As he corrected the text, Ryu-sensei was careful to find the wording that would best convey both the factual and emotional content.
He was also careful to explain clearly the differences in nuance between my phrasings and his corrections.
As well as being excellent study, the lesson was also a most enjoyable one! I look forward to taking another again in the near future!

The focus of today's lesson was on the different nuance conveyed by similar and related words.
Those we compared included "zoudai" (増大) / "kakudai" (拡大) and "hanasu" (話す) / "hanshiau" (話し合う).
It was a fascinating lesson and I am very grateful to Ryu-sensei for his thorough but also easy-to-understand explanations!

I showed Ryu-sensei the next section of the Japanese website I am working on today, and asked his opinion on the content. Ryu-sensei helpfully and clearly explained the different word choices available, making suggestions and recommendations as we went.
Our main focus was on the differences between the words "betsu" and "kotonaru" and between the words "kaiin" and "membaa".
If you would like to know yourself how the meaning and nuance differs for these or any other similar words in Japanese, I recommend you book a lesson with Ryu-sensei! You won't be disappointed!

Ryu-sensei totally exceeded all my expectations today while helping me with the Japanese website I am working on. He really is an exceptionally generous and helpful teacher!
Towards the end of the lesson I asked Ryu-sensei to correct a Japanese business email I had drafted for an automobile company. Students wanting to improve their business Japanese should definitely consider taking Ryu-sensei's lessons! He will be able to explain to you all the subtle differences in form, including what is appropriate in which situation.

Today's lesson was devoted to having Ryu-sensei correct character profiles I created for a website I am working on.
I really appreciate his assistance in both making my Japanese sound more natural and in making it shorter at the same time.
His insight and eye for detail are truly commendable. I honestly cannot recommend Ryu-sensei's lessons enough!
