What's your opinion?

Jan 24, 2018

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a good Wednesday.

In my column today, I want to let you know about a new lesson which I have created. This lesson is called 'What's your opinion?' Many Japanese students who I teach are very interested in having opportunities to practice discussing their opinions in English. They are usually very nervous about whether they can clearly communicate their ideas and be understood, and also whether they are using the correct vocabulary and grammar. When we start discussing opinions together however, my students usually quickly relax and we have a lot of fun exchanging opinions on different topics and agreeing and disagreeing.

When you request a 'What's your opinion?' lesson, I will send you a sheet with some interesting opinions on different topics, and a sheet including some useful discussion language. Before the lesson, you can choose the opinions you want to discuss and prepare your opinions. Then, in the lessons, you can practice discussing your opinions. During the discussions, I will make a note of any vocabulary and grammar mistakes you make, and then at the end of the lesson we will do some error correction.

If you have any questions about this lesson, please send me a message.

I look forward to helping you improve your ability to discuss your opinion.

Good Luck!!

Mark
