Hi everyone!
It has been a minute since I've posted here. Anyway, I just got back from visiting my very elderly grandmother a couple weeks ago. She's 95 - crazy, right?!
I'm happy to be back, and even happier that the weather has finally picked up. I've also added more available slots to my schedule for the summer!
I've started teaching a couple of new students since I've been back, and I'm stoked to meet some more!
Glossary
"a minute" (slang) - a long time. "You've been gone for a minute" actually means "You've been gone for a long time."
To pick up (phrasal verb) = If the weather or business "picks up," it means it's getting better. If a party or work "picks up," it means it's getting livelier or busier. There are other definitions for this phrasal verb, but I'll keep it simple for now.
Stoked (adj.) = very excited
Happy Learning everyone!
