Summer in the PH

每週主題: Summer Photography: Show us picture that describes your summer!

2024年7月24日

The Philippines has a tropical climate and only experiences dry and wet seasons. However, we consider March to May our "summer," also known as the hottest months of the year. Despite already being in the wet season, I'm excited to share my thoughts on this week's topic.

Our summers can be scorching, coupled with high humidity. Therefore, it is customary for many Filipinos to head down to the beach to beat the summer heat. Thankfully, the Philippines is home to picturesque beaches with white sand and pristine waters. Nothing else screams summer to me more than swimming, snorkelling, having some R&R by the beach, watching postcard-perfect sunsets, and indulging in delicious seafood and halo-halo, a Filipino shaved ice dessert.

The photo above captures one of the most popular summer destinations in the country, Boracay, an island in central Philippines, beloved by locals and tourists alike.
