I am writing this essay almost near the Obon festival. As you know, the calendar system has fchanged in the Meiji era.
Before the Meiji era, the Obon festival was celebrated on July 15th in the lunar calendar.
Today, farmers and workers are busy if the Obon festival is held according the day of lunara calendar. So, the date of the Obon festival has been changed to one month behind, 15th August to be celebrated easily in most parts of Japan.
So, what I want to say is that the things have been changed by our wills or purposes when we needed to change.
Therefore, the importance in our life is what kind of meaning it itself has, not to form of rule or system itself, I think.
What do you think about it?
Please let me know anything about your thoughts. I don't always hear back from you, it's been a one-way communication. I am very sad and sorry.
