Finnish people freetime

2023年3月14日

Finnish people know how to make the best of a long, cold winter!

When the snow starts falling and the temperature drops, they don't just curl up and wait for spring. Oh no, they lace up their skis, strap on their snowshoes, and hit the trails. And when they've had enough of the cold, they head to the sauna to warm up. But don't think saunas are just for getting clean - they're a social event too! Finnish folks love nothing more than getting together with friends and family, sweating it out, and then jumping in the snow to cool off. Sometimes we go swimming in the frozen lake or sea as well! And when they're not skiing, snowmobiling, or sauna, they're out in nature! Winter may be long, but for Finns, it's also a time of fun, adventure, and relaxation.

Finnish people spend their free time during winter in a variety of ways. Many enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. They also spend time in cottages, which are a traditional and important part of Finnish culture. Saunas are used for relaxation, socializing, and as a means of keeping clean. Finns also spend a lot of time in nature, even during the winter. The country's endless amount of nature provides ample opportunities for activities! Additionally, many Finns enjoy spending time with their families and friends, often engaging in activities such as board games, reading, and watching television or films. For adults, you might also know the word ''kalsarikänni''.
