This year I had the opportunity to go to The Netherlands. I visited Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague. It was a wonderful experience not only because this country is absolutely beautiful, but also because I visited several museums, and I love museums! I visited The Mauritshuis in The Hague where I saw Vermeer’s incomparable Girl with a Pearl Earring. Her eyes are very expressive, and she seems like she wants to tell you something.
I also went to Escher’s museum and saw many pieces by this incredibly skilled artist. His detailed work on figure and ground is really amazing!
In Amsterdam, I visited the Rijksmuseum, where I saw many different pieces such as “Children of the Sea” by Jozef Israëls.
I also saw great still-lifes that are full of symbolism.
Seeing all these pieces was a wonderful experience that made me want to learn more about art!
(I took all the photos.)
If you want to explore art with me, I have two lessons: one that is more general about visiting museums (https://cafetalk.com/lesson/detail/?c=eJwrCMvM80wxCU4JMEnxDoksznRy1U8LtLUFAGcLB9k.&lang=en), and another that is about exploring specific works of art while practicing your English (https://cafetalk.com/lesson/detail/?c=eJwLLU0z0o6oyk4rMAv3ys8tyErOTY5ytLUFAGsmCHY.&lang=en).
