Pumpkin is the real queen of autumn.
In Ukraine, many people grow pumpkins.
Each family has their favorite recipe for pumpkin porridge - with rice, millet, or semolina. This dish is perfectly absorbed by the body and children like it. It's hard to imagine a more nutritious breakfast this time of year. If desired, nuts, dried fruits, bananas, cinnamon or cardamom can be added to such porridge.
Pumpkin porridge with milk rice
Pumpkin pulp - 800 g.
Water - 150 ml.
Milk - 350 ml.
A pinch of salt.
Sugar - 80 g.
Rice - 100 g.
Butter - 80 g.
Peel the pumpkin from the peel and seeds, and cut it into cubes. Put in a saucepan. Pour the pumpkin with water and put it on medium heat. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour in milk and bring to a boil. Add salt and sugar. Rinse the rice and pour it into the pot with the pumpkin. Do not stir, otherwise, the porridge will burn.
The porridge is ready!
