Learning phrasal verbs within context is likely to help you remember the phrasal verb better.
Learning a list of phrasal verbs independently from a list and isolated from its context shortens its lifespan in your memory and could lead you to forgetting what you’ve just learnt regardless of the number of phrasal verbs you had picked up.

Thaw out the chicken for a few hours. Then chop up some carrots , onions and tomatoes. Once the chicken is thawed, mix in the chicken with the spices provided.
