How did our ancestors learn to write or How to learn grammar online?
I have been working at the school for 15 years. I teach students English. All students sit at modern desks. They write, they read.
I have been working online for more than a year.
I thought that nothing could impress me anymore.
But no!
Somehow I happened to go on an excursion, to a museum. And what did I see there?
The museum is located in the historical part of the city, on the southern slope of Castle Hill, next to the medieval castle. This is one of the first open-air museums in Ukraine, which was opened in 1970. During the 1960s and 70s, two dozen wooden buildings of the 18th and 20th centuries were moved from the villages of the region to the territory of the museum.
The planning of the museum exposition is compared with the geographical map of the region. From west to east, there are dwellings and estates of Ukrainians from lowland areas - Dolynians, ethnographic groups - Lemks, Boyks and Hutsuls, as well as one estate each of the Hungarian and Romanian populations of the region.
I entered every house and walked into houses that are several hundred years old.
Among all the huts, the school caught my attention. So these are the desks my ancestors used to write at. They went to a parish school. They wanted to learn. They learned to read and write.
And they wanted to be smart.
And students wrote at these desks and learned grammar.
And an educated generation grew up.
And in what conditions do you learn grammar, my dear students?
At your desk or online?
