The Royal Portuguese Reading Room (Portuguese: Real Gabinete Português de Leitura) is a library and lusophone cultural institution, is located in Luís de Camões Street, number 30, in the center of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is listed by the State Institute of Cultural Heritage. Elected the fourth most beautiful library in the world by Time magazine, the Cabinet has the largest collection of Portuguese literature outside Portugal.

The Royal Portuguese Reading Room opens its doors to visitors every working day from 10AM to 4PM. There's no admission charge, allowing the public to see one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, its imposing facade, impressive reading room and every other aspect of this building of enormous cultural and architectonic importance for both Portugal and Brazil.
