What is HSK?
HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì) - sometimes called the Chinese Proficiency Test - is a standardized test to measure Mandarin Chinese proficiency recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
HSK testing is available in 166 locations across 58 cities within China, and 322 locations across 88 countries and regions, making it one of the most widely recognized standards of Mandarin in the world. Candidates can be tested appropriately against a common standard everywhere. In addition the HSK's levels are designed to correspond to those of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
HSK has 6 levels starting at level 1 for beginners to level 6 for advanced.
