Hello there, my name is DeMarcus, but people usually just call me Marcus. I have been living and teaching English in Fukui, Japan for seven years now. I have taught all ages as well as many types of English. Traveling English, everyday conversation English, Business English, grammar, and more. I have taught in Elementary schools, High school, juku, after school programs, companies, preschools, and more. I enjoy teaching English and I get satisfaction from seeing my students grow with their English.
For hobbies and interest, I enjoy running, playing video games, watching movies, cooking, listening to music, watching and playing sports, mountain hiking, exploring, and eating delicious foods! Please don't be afraid to mention a mutual hobby that you also have, I always enjoy talking about my interest with others.
The reason I came to Japan is because of the culture! I enjoy old Japanese culture as well as new. Everything from shrines, temples, samurai, ninjas, anime, Japanese food, and more! My favorite Japanese foods are okonomiyaki, sauce katsudon, omurice, udon, taiyaki, takoyaki, sushi, and more.
I'm a small town person and enjoy the less cluttered life. So me coming over and living here in Fukui was a perfect fit, especially on the nature side of thing!
