Hello, my name is Kayla I’m from South Africa. I describe my personality is outgoing and enthusiastic. I enjoy getting to know people and helping others gain knowledge and skills that will improve their daily lives. I have 4 years teaching experience and have worked with several unique learners from physically disabled learners, mentally disabled learners as well as learners whose 1st language is not English. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education degree. I have worked in many schools across South Africa. I have also worked Online teaching different age groups. While studying I work part time jobs and volunteer so that I can gain more experience and become the best teacher for my future students. I have completed my 120-hour TEFL course and completed two learning courses.

When I teach I first want to get to know my students so that I am able to understand what they would like to achieve and what their goals are. In this way I can adapt my teaching styles appropriately to help each student reach their full potential and achieve the goals they set out for themselves. When I teach, I believe that each student is different and learn in a different way. My teaching style is very flexible and can adapt easily. From past experiences I have learnt that students don’t always know how they learn best for this reason I adapt my teaching styles as my student’s progress, and I get to identify what works best for them. In the lessons I like to make use of multiple teaching styles such as learner centred, auditory, visual, and enquiry-based learning. By me doing this I ensure that all my lessons are engaging, fun, interactive and it ensures that all students are learning in their correct environment.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I was born in South Africa and am still currently staying there. One of my favourite things to do is to gain new knowledge and skills in order to better myself and those around me. I believe that I am a very understanding, positive, happy, and passionate person. I often put the needs of others before my own as seeing people succeed with my assistance brings me an extreme amount of joy. I am very passionate about teaching as I believe that once you gain knowledge no one can take it away from you and it is such a powerful thing because you can use it to improve people’s lives around you. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and baking as food brings all different kinds of people together.
