About Me:

Hello, my name is Leslie (レスリー)!

I am from California, and I currently reside in Oakland, California. I graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography.

My passion for photography has led me to travel abroad to different countries like Japan, Turkey, Thailand, South Korea, Jordan and Syria. 

While doing my volunteer work overseas in Turkey, Jordan and South Korea, I found my motivation and love for teaching. 

I really enjoyed the connections and lasting friendships I got to bulid with my students from different parts of the globe.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, making pottery and doing photography! 

About My Lessons:

I understand the struggles of learning a new language and the challenges that are faced along the way! That is why my lesson plans are catered fully around my students and their personal needs.

My lessons are conversational based rather than the traditional formal based lessons. I believe any topic can become a lesson plan and have components we can learn from. I want you to be excited for the material that you are learning. I encourage you to bring any outside material that you might want to dive more into during class!

In my lessons we also focus on pronunciation and articulation, vocabulary, sentence structure and professional/business e-mail writing techniques.
