About me

Hi there! My name is Girlie and I am an experienced English as a Second Language teacher from the Philippines. I’m here to help you study casual and formal English. I will do my best to help you achieve your goals. Let’s have fun learning!


Teaching Background

I have been in the ESL industry since 2006. I taught for 3 years at an International School here in Manila, and 4 years in a Korean academy. I taught grammar, conversation, Business English, English for Specific Purposes, and other types of English lessons. 

I have taught students of different nationalities, age group, and level. So whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, I'm here to help you!

I also have a Certificate in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) from University of Cambridge ESOL Teaching Awards, so I feel confident that I can teach you in a way that is useful and beneficial for you.

Teaching Style

I make my lessons interesting, fun and useful for students, with some time for questions and conversation and lots of practice.  I am also very flexible, doing my best to change my teaching style according to the level and interest of the student.
