My name is Khanh, nice to meet you!
I have been teaching English in Japan for 7 years. I am currently living in New York City, doing new things, but I enjoy teaching English to those who want to learn.
I enjoy teaching more conversational English, but helping to build vocabulary is very important. So it is important to talk about many topics even if you don't like it, as much as others. For example, you go to a history musuem with a friend, you see all the animals and ask, "Are those real?" your friend would say, "Yes they are real, it's taxidermy." (剥製術) Even though it is not so useful, you want to at least have a good vocabulary.
I also taught preschool English to children from 2 years old. I did not teach them singing or dancing, I taught them standard international school education. Children would learn how to read and write, do math and learn to cook, all in English. But for Cafetalk, I can only recommend teaching them phonics, reading, and speaking. Writing they can do for homework, as time spent on cafetalk is better used talking and listening.
Each of my classes will have a curriculum and layout for you to see and understand what you will be learning. My goal for you is to have natural conversation with native speakers. I enjoy talking and listening, so let's have good conversations.
