Konnichiwa minnasama. You can call me Cherumen, as how my Japanese co-workers used to call me before. I am a native Filipino, born and raised in the Philippines but currently residing in the United States for 5 years. I have lived and worked in Japan for 3 years and I loved it. I am so fascinated with how the people strongly value or preserve their culture, tradition and etiquette, which gives most of the places a character different from the modern society.

I am currently working as a Teacher for Early Childhood Learning Center. Reading stories, singing and dancing with little kids are my favorite. I also love doing crafts and playing as part of their learning development activities that will help practice and enhance their fine motor and cognitive skills. I graduated a 2-year Vocational in Programming. Thereafter, I spent one school year in Bachelor of Science in Education majoring English at one of the universities in the Philippines. I attended classes for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for 3 months. I am currently working on my TESOL/TEFL and basic Spanish. As far as second language, I studied Japanese Language and went to Japan for work. While I was there, I acquired a certificate in Japanese Language Proficiency level 3, which is now N4.
In return, let me teach you and share with you my knowledge in English (or  maybeTagalog?) I know how it is like learning a second language and trust me, I was like you. We can play games or flashcards or we can talk about anything that will help you express yourself. Here are some of my hobbies or interests if you would like to know:
I used to believe I'm no green thumb but when I grew a bunch of cucumbers a few years back, I start to enjoy gardening in our backyard, adding more vegetables, herbs and flowers each year. During the time that I am not busy, I repurpose or DIY(do-it-yourself) some stuff or furniture that I picked from the neighbor's trash (demo dorobo janaiyo) or I interrupt (I'm not being shitsokoi though) my husband with his woodworking tools because tools are cool. Fashion mo suki desu. In fact, I sew some of the clothes that I wear and I sew my wedding dress. Demo nandemo topikku wo oshaberimasuyo!
