Thank you so much for the lesson this morning, Teacher Yuki.
Even though we've had an unexpected end due to the poor Internet connection, which seemed to be a malfunction with the system here in Taiwan, I still learned a lot and had a great time this morning as well. Thank you so much for that.
The habitual reading every evening has somehow made a small improvement in my overall comprehension of longer sentences, and even though I still struggle with some of them, I've gradually mastered the idea of dissecting and digesting the longer sentences. lol
After the many questions I've asked about the articles, we've started L36 in 大家的日本語, and we've also finished the new vocabulary as well as the conversation practice. This lesson is mainly about habits, and I do think that it contains a lot of useful expressions, which we're possibly going to cove in the class on Friday morning.
I'm already looking forward to it and can't wait for it to arrive as soon as possible.

I've had a fun class this morning, thank you so much, Teacher Yuki.
I can hardly believe that we're already in L30 in the book, which is actually faster than I expected.
But there are still many parts I need to refresh my memories on since I've already forgotten a lot of things covered in the previous lessons. >///<
However, I'll definitely work hard to try to retrieve all those things covered before.
We've finished a discussion for a short essay I wrote in L29--a description of a place after an earthquake, the conversation in L30, as well as the first three sections in practice B as well.
Luckily, there are no more 自動詞 anymore in L30, haha.
Classes with Teacher Yuki are very useful and informative, and things covered in class would become useful in daily uses.
A short story here: Earlier today, I've accidentally made a slight mistake when I tried to book a hotel room in Tokyo for June next year.
As a result, I gained some courage and called the front desk at the hotel and actually started to make the request in Japanese, which actually shocked me. XD
Even though I'm not sure if the staff at the front desk understood everything, he told me that modifications regarding reservations would only be during a fixed time in a day. I guess from this reply, it means that the friendly staff at the front desk somehow got the request I tried to make.
For this part, I'd really like to thank Teacher Yuki for all the instructions as well as encouragements for the past half a year.
I've never thought that I'd be able to make a phone call from Taiwan, making a request using Japanese instead of English, the only language I felt comfortable using when I went for visits in Japan before.
I guess I'd possibly be able to communicate in Japanese whenever I check in at the hotel's front desk June next year. lol

After learning from the 大家的日本語 textbook, Teacher Yuki asked yesterday evening, as usual, what we'd like to cover in class today.
Since I've received the Genki textbook from Teacher Yuki, I just simply replied using the other textbook, and that's what we did this morning.
Teacher Yuki found the corresponding pages in the Genki textbook, and we've done a lot of exercises and conversation practice in class today. Whenever I forgot some expressions or vocabulary (which happened quite a lot today XD), Teacher Yuki is always friendly and patient to remind me of them. In addition, since there's no fixed sentence pattern or grammar involved, all the answers you provide would be carefully listened by Teacher Yuki, and she would also give immediate feedback to let you know if your answers were correct, acceptable, or she would provide some alternative expressions with the same meanings.
As Teacher Yuki has very keen ears and pays a lot of attention on students in class, you can never skip any possible sounds or say some sounds unclearly if you think you're not sure about them, since Teacher Yuki hears them all. lol
Through the classes with Teacher Yuki, I gradually feel more confident with my speaking, and I slowly also feel that my listening in Japanese has also improved as well.

Teacher Yuki always makes sure that you've fully understood, and being capable to use, all the contents covered in classes.
As a result, not only will you be learning from one textbook, but there are also other resources provided by Teacher Yuki as well.
All of these various practices and exercises would make you more fluent and confident using Japanese in your everyday life.
For example, after finishing L20, L21, and L22 in 大家的日本語, I've suffered a little bit from the various verb forms that were introduced, so Teacher Yuki provided some alternative practice so that I could have a more in-depth and varied practice of some expressions that might seem alike at first.
In addition, Teacher Yuki would also use some sentence structures or vocabulary learned before in the lessons so that you would not just learn the new ideas, but also refresh your memories of what you've learned before.
I'm always looking forward to every interesting class with you.

The class this morning was, as usual, interesting and insightful, since Unit 20 in 大家的日本語 involves a mixture of various verb forms as a review. Luckily, classes with Teacher Yuki would always make the time fly, and in no time it's the end of another lesson again. (Why don't I feel the same when I'm teaching my own students? lol)
Teacher Yuki sometimes would raise some pop-up questions, and they really make you think and understand if you've absorbed contents from the textbook or not. These questions are very useful, since you can't prepare for them in advance.
In addition, with the abundant help from Teacher Yuki, I was able to finish my very first diary in Japanese. ^___^
As a foreign language learner who didn't study learning Japanese since late April, you definitely feel the improvements you make in every class with Teacher Yuki.
I'm looking forward to the next class. Until then, I'll definitely try to work hard.

I like learning Japanese with Teacher Yuki, and it's a happy feeling to be a student again.
From Teacher Yuki's teaching, I've got new insights and ideas of how to modify my own teaching in my everyday life as well.
L20 in 大家的日本語 doesn't only introduce the way of 普通形, it also puts emphasis on a review of previously covered ideas from L14 to L19.
The first few exercises in the textbook made me struggle a lot, but Teacher Yuki is patient and encouraging, and she would always let you give it a try before giving you any answers. In this way, students are able to provide what they initially think about, and then they get the opportunity of how a native speaker would express the same idea.
In addition, Teacher Yuki would also make sure you've understood every example sentence in the book before moving on to the next one to ensure complete comprehension. By doing so, students' actual learning progress is examined and recorded so that Teacher Yuki is able to design possible and relevant practices to further confirm students' understanding.

Thank you again for the interesting lesson this morning.
We've gone through the use of 普通形 in L20 in 大家的日本語, namely the way how friends or family members would communicate with one another.
Teacher Yuki is patient as usual, and she also would ask relevant questions that are related to the practices in the book.
In addition, if your answers differ from the answer key provided to the book, she would also ponder and comment on your alternative answer and explain whether it's okay or not. In this way, students wouldn't just stick to the one use that is provided in the textbooks but would be able to learn authentic conversation skills to put into use in everyday conversations.
I struggled with the various forms of verbs at first, since many of them appeared all of a sudden since L14 in the book.
However, Teacher Yuki is always encouraging and enthusiastic so that you would give it a try even if you lack confidence.
No matter if you're an outgoing or a shy student, Teacher Yuki is definitely able to arouse your potential in Japanese learning.

This morning, we did L16 in 大家的日本語, and it seems like some uses start getting more and more complicated and difficult.
However, Teacher Yuki is always very patient, listens to your questions carefully, and provides easy-to-understand answers as well.
In addition, whenever you're doing oral practices, Teacher Yuki also listens attentively to if you used short sounds or not, so it's very good to develop good speaking habits with Teacher Yuki.
