True charm of learning 'arts'

Hello everyone! How are you today?
It's Teacher Asuka.

Do you like art? The other day, I found a quote from a famous Japanese sculptor called Satoh Churyo. I was moved by this quote. I will show you part of a summary here.

He wanted us to think about the difference between science and art. He said that science is a kind of knowledge or facts that everyone admits or knows, like natural science or social science.

Although science and technology will change people's environment, our lives are not made up of knowing the facts. All people have some kind of feeling about objects, such as beautiful, ugly, and so on. Everyone has different feelings. These feelings are important for people to live their lives. Such human feelings or minds will give birth to various arts such as poetry, music, and drama. When you come across some beautiful works of art, you will be able to face them independently. These many touching experiences will give you a kind of vitamin and make your mind grow.

Through these experiences, he wanted each of you to become a person who understands true happiness, sadness, and anger. To achieve this goal, we need to learn the arts sincerely which will make our minds grow much more.

Recently, the world's elites have tended to look at various works of art in museums. It is not just to be cool but to make them self-learning, to think deeply and differently. It is said that there are no right answers when looking at art. Your answer is the answer. That is why it is interesting to look at works of art.

Why don't you visit some art museums from now
on?

Thank you for being with me as always.
See you next time!
