It was with immense sadness I heard about the passing of Edson Arantes do Nascimento, universally known as Pelé. He is considered as the best player of all time in the history of football by countless organizations and entities.  Throughout his career, Pelé, the King of Soccer, projected as no other person the name of Brazil at an international level. There is no place in the world where the name of Pelé, and, through him, of Brazil, is not recognized. Everywhere Pelé went he attracted large crowds that were enchanted by his spectacular talent and his presence, always generous and captivating. Pelé is closely connected to the international image of Brazil. Pelé and his legacy will be eternal, as symbols of a sport which is the true face of Brazil.
