I thought I'd write about the fun topic this week since it's a great one following Valentine's Day!
Although this is a great question, it's also really hard to answer! I've always had a sweet-tooth, so I liked lots of different things as a child. The only sweet that I wasn't fond of was cake; it was too sweet and didn't have enough flavor. As I've gotten older, I realize that I don't like sweet very much, but I like very strong flavors. Which is why I love dark chocolate! That is my favorite snack/candy as an adult. The darker the better!
But if I had to choose a favorite candy as a child, I guess I would have to say Butterfinger Candy bars. Have you heard of these? They're really sweet but also tasty! They have a crunchy peanut butter nougat covered in milk chocolate. They have been a very popular candy bar in the US for a long time.
I have to admit though, that I also really loved some other fruity snacks like Skittles and Twizzlers. These are really common candies in the US and you can find them at any store. If you ever have the chance, buy a small bag of them and try them out! Always try the original flavor (Skittles Original) and Cherry Twizzlers first. (Strawberry is more common nowadays but I recommend the cherry flavored ones; I think they're better. But cherry is harder to find nowadays. I remember packages of cherry flavored twizzlers like in the picture below but you can't find them now. You can only find these in bites and pull-n-peel, which are also fun and tasty! But as a child, my favorite thing to do was to bite off each end of the twizzler and then use it as a straw because the inside of these long twizzlers is hollow. I think lots of kids did this!)
Have you ever tried any of these candies? They were fun as a kid and I enjoy them every now and then as an adult, but now I prefer homemade snacks more (and dark chocolate!)
Have a wonderful day~
